Relaxing stress-free massage therapy

We provide the following therapeutic massage services focused on flexibility, enhanced circulation, reduced anxiety, and better sleep quality

  • Swedish Massage - A traditional massage using lotion or crème, blending the "Swedish-7": Gliding Effleurage, kneading petrissage, pressure without movement, friction, stretch and joint mobilization, beating percussion, vibration and jostling. Pressure will vary: light, medium, and deep depending on area and person preferences. The purpose is to promote a relaxation response for general well-being. Students evaluate client response to treatment.

  • Deep Tissue - This modality incorporates Swedish with Neuromuscular and myofascial techniques to affect the body deeply. Areas of hypertonicity, adhesion, and joint stiffness are addressed to improve tissue integrity, joint mobility, and muscle tone. Students evaluate functional outcomes. This modality requires more control, so less lubricant is used.

  • Asian Bodywork and Reflexology - Integrating acupressure point work and meridian line work with select techniques: Gliding, kneading, pressing, stretching, and jostling promote general improvement in overall health and well-being. Students thoroughly inquire about overall health across multiple organ systems and tailor their sessions to achieve a greater balance physically, mentally, and emotionally.

  • Allied Modalities - The student draws from all their foundational modalities and incorporates complementary modalities of Cranio-Sacral, Lymphatic, Visceral and Geriatric Massage, according to their studies here at ISMT.

Modalities are practiced in a sequence determined by ISMT. Length of sessions is 60-minutes. Clinic is scheduled monthly on 3 Sundays using a wait list system and 3 Fridays by appointment availability. Thank you for supporting our students!

Scheduling Student Clinic

  • Student Clinics are supervised by a licensed massage therapist.
  • Student Clinics are held on 3 Fridays and 3 Sundays per month.
  • Fewer clinics may be held during summer months depending on student availability.
  • Friday clinics can be scheduled anytime.
  • Sundays, which are more popular, are subject to a waitlist. Waitlisted clients will receive a text message the week prior to the day they signed up for.
    • First come first served when responding to text messages.

Cancellation Policy

  • Confirmation texts will be sent 48 hours before appointments. Please respond to confirm or cancel appointment.
  • 24-hour notice must be given to cancel or change all appointments.
  • If no notice is given or client misses the appointment, a fee of $30 will be charged.
